NCIS offers its members a comprehensive grants schedule (3 cycles per year) and an annual essay prize.

PLEASE NOTE: These grants are available ONLY to fully vetted and paid-up members of NCIS. Being a member in a partner group or following NCIS on Facebook does not constitute NCIS membership.
NCIS sends an IRS Form 1099-MISC to anyone who receives $600 or more in grants in a single calendar year. NCIS reports all payments to the U.S. IRS, and requests Form W9 from grantees.’

Elizabeth Eisenstein Essay Prize ($350)

Annual competition for the best peer-reviewed article or book chapter by an NCIS member

David Sonenschein Award ($599)

For training, upskilling, conference attendance (non-presenting), especially for early career researchers

Amanda Haste Award ($599)

For outsourced specialist services such as translation, indexing, copyediting
